French Hussars have arrived!  Purchased these painted 28mm Perry French Hussars from Dragon Painting Service.  This unit will form half of the cavalry brigade attached to my French infantry division with Dragoons being the other part of the brigade.

These guys will be mounted two per 50mm x 50mm metal bases with painting and flocking to match the rest of my army.  I'll chop the saber out of one of the trooper's hands and mount the Flag Dude 6th Hussars standard I have waiting for them.

 

Hussars are light cavalry and definitely aren't the heavy hitting type of shock troops but will do well supporting infantry units, screening open flanks, etc.
